How to Become a Christian: The ABCs of Salvation

Have you asked Jesus to be your Savior?  He’s waiting to hear from you!

A - Admit

Admit honestly to God that you have sinned and disobeyed Him.

The Bible Says:

  • Romans 3:23: “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.”

  • Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”

  • Acts 3:19: “Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.”

No sin is allowed in Heaven.

B - Believe

Believe that Jesus died on the Cross and rose again.  His blood was shed to pay for your sins.

The Bible says:

  • 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: “I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me.  Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said.  He was buried, and He was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said.”

  • Romans 5:8: “But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”

  • John 3:16: “For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”

  • John 3:36: “And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.”

C - Choose

Choose to trust Jesus alone for the forgiveness of your sins.

The Bible says:

  • Romans 10:13: “For everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.”

  • John 3:18: “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in Him. But anyone who does not believe in Him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.”

When you choose to trust in Jesus Christ alone to save you, God forgives you!  You become His child, and He promises you a home

in Heaven forever!  Put your trust in Jesus as your Savior from sin.  Do it today, and begin following Him by obeying His Word, the Bible.
